Be a volunteer! There are many ways to help.

We need one or two volunteers to give us a hand especially during the project leader’s (Ilaria Moneta) trips to Italy. We are looking for someone with a great spirit of adaptability (the lifestyle in Mwenga is very simple and the journey from Bukavu very tiring), fluency in French (or better still in Kiswahili!) and experience in educating/managing groups of children and adolescents. The visa procedures are long and complicated, but we are counting on the support of one of the many religious communities in Bukavu to get an invitation letter, but we have to move in time. We need your help to make our association known and to organize fundraising activities.

For our project in Congo, we are not recruiting additional volunteers for the time being due to access difficulties, but we are looking forward to more possibilities of on-site support in the near future. We welcome new ideas and proposals, to be addressed, along with any follow-up questions, to ilaria@homeforsteetchildren.it
